Hi, I'm Désara, the founder of Young Bole Bindery.

The idea for Young Bole originated a few years ago. I have been an artist my entire life, primarily working with paper-based mediums, including drawing, watercolor, charcoal, and pastel. I have always struggled to find a sketchbook that supports my artistic process rather than restricting it. This led me to the world of bookbinding.

I made my first book in 2021 and have been learning the traditional craft of hand bookbinding ever since. I now study at the American Academy of Bookbinding and have been fortunate to learn from some of the top binders in the country. 

Young Bole is focused on books that invest in the creative process. The core of my collection is two books I use most often. My signature sketchbook incorporates watercolor, drawing, writing, and handmade paper, each offering a unique surface for your favorite creative medium. Second, a writing journal with beautiful, smooth finish paper that handles all kinds of writing mediums with ease.

Additionally, Young Bole offers an expanding range of options, including custom bindings, edition bindings, commissions, box-making, and artist books.
